MLM companies promote and sell their products through their network of members rather than through regular retailers or stores. Over the years, a number of MLM companies have sprung up; some of them have been successful, while others have gone bankrupt. However, there are certain companies that have really grown and reached global proportions. This article lists the top 10 MLM companies worldwide in terms of revenue and network reach.

1. Avon – Avon leads the pack of top 10 MLM companies with reported corporate revenues exceeding $10 billion and a network in almost every country in the world. Founded over a century ago in 1886, Avon is the second oldest MLM company in existence today and its product line consists of beauty products, jewelry, and apparel.

2. Amway/Alticor: Founded in 1959, Amway has been a pioneer in the MLM industry and rightly deserves a mention among the top 10 MLM companies. It is also the second largest with reported earnings of over $8 billion dollars and a continually growing network of members. Amway has its own manufacturing facilities in the United States. Its main product lines include home care, personal care and nutritional products.

3. Vorwerk/Jafra – Based in Germany, Vorwerk and its sister company Jafra were founded in 1883, making them the oldest known MLM company. Vorwerk deals with home appliance products, while Jafra markets cosmetic products. The company’s total estimated revenue is close to $3.5 billion.

4. Mary Kay: This manufacturer and distributor of skin care and color cosmetics was founded in 1963 and has since grown to become one of the top 10 MLM companies worldwide. Its annual revenues are close to $3 billion and its products are available in most countries around the world.

5. Herbalife: After Amway, Herbalife is the second company among the top 10 MLM companies that is not dedicated to cosmetics. Its products include health, weight management and personal care, and the company has achieved nearly $2.5 billion in revenue in just 25 years.

6. Primerica Financial Services: Primerica Financial Services, the only financial services company in the top 10 MLM companies, has an impressive track record. The company has generated revenues in excess of $2 billion despite working primarily in North America.

7. Tupperware: Tupperware is again unique among the top 10 MLM companies: It sells plastic storage and serving products, and personal care products. The company has grown to have a global presence with revenues exceeding the $2 billion mark.

8. Natura Cosmetics – The only South American company on the top 10 MLM companies list, Natura is based in Brazil and boasts nearly $2 billion in annual revenue. Its main products include cosmetics, personal care and fragrances.

9. Oriflame: Sweden’s Oriflame makes its way into the top 10 MLM companies with approximately $1.9 billion in revenue and a strong global presence. The company is mainly engaged in beauty products.

10. Forever Living: This Arizona-based company generates about $1.7 billion in annual revenue through sales of its nutritional supplements, skin care, cosmetics, and weight-loss products. It is primarily focused on North America.
