Your White Card doesn’t have to be renewed and won’t ever expire. If you lose your White Card you must contact your fitness instructor to get a new one. They can usually replace your old lost White Card, typically for no charge.

If you’re involved in the construction industry in any capacity, you must undertake construction safety training and obtain a compulsory requirement certificate. It’s important that you go through this training so that you know exactly what is required of you. In Australia, the White Card is a requirement if you’re working in the private sector. It’s also compulsory for anyone involved in the public sector to hold one. It’s important though that anyone who wishes to become involved in the construction industry in any capacity (ie: engineer, architect, surveyor etc) holds a compulsory requirement certificate.

In order to get the relevant training you must take part in a workfare scheme in your region. If you live in Tasmania, you can register with Worksafe Tasmania (WTS). The WTS scheme in Tasmania is run by the Department of Employment, they provide training that lasts for 6 hours. Generally the training is for new workers but there is an option for those that have been working in the industry for more than six years. On completion of the worksite training, your certificate holder will be issued with a White Card.

In order to get the relevant training for the workfare scheme in your region, check out the websites for the Department of Employment in your state or territory. There you will find details about the scheme and how to enroll. You must also check the training section to see what the students must achieve before they are issued their certificate. On completion, students must obtain a white card for the construction industry before they are eligible to apply for jobs.

After you complete the worksafe white card training, you will need to apply for a new South Wales Certificate of Secondary Education (CSE). Students must bring 100 points with them when they apply. This is a mandatory requirement, however if a student reaches this point they may be eligible for an extension to their program. In order to achieve this extension, students must bring their scores to an acceptable level. Check the criteria for the extension from your local Department of Education.

A Worksafe South Wales Certificate of Secondary Education (WCSDE) is awarded to students in the construction industry that has successfully completed an approved worksite training course. To qualify for this certification, students must demonstrate that they are aware of the fundamental construction safety and health principles that are required at any construction site. They must also demonstrate that they have a good understanding of first aid procedures. They must also pass a work experience test to demonstrate that they are aware of the work environment and know how to behave in it safely.
