The Sony Ericsson G705 measures 95 x 47 x 14.3 mm and weighs 98 grams. It’s a marvel of a mobile phone, with a 2.4-inch screen below which you’ll find some dedicated music buttons (to fast-forward/skip a track and change the volume) and a navigation panel.

The music player will support all music formats and there is 120 megabytes of internal memory which can be increased by using a MicroSD card. It also has an FM Radio. In addition to having great sound quality, Sony has also included some advanced music features normally found on a Walkman phone. These include TrackID, where you can record a few seconds of a song and receive the song’s artist and name, and PlayNow, which is an easy-to-use download feature for quickly downloading music to your phone.

There’s a decent 3.2-megapixel camera and it has digital zoom. There are also some advanced camera features such as Photo Fix to correct contrast, Photo Light to correct overexposure; and geotagging – to tag photos so you always know exactly where you were when you took a photo. You will also be able to take good quality video footage with the Sony Ericsson G705.

The Sony Ericsson W705 is not a smartphone, so the apps are just the standard ones. These include an alarm, a personal organizer, a calendar, and a hands-free speakerphone. The screen will also automatically rotate when you rotate it, which is very nice. There is also GPS, WayFinder and Google Maps already integrated. However, the Internet connection is very advanced with EDGE, WiFi, Bluetooth and 3g HSPDA.

In short, the Sony Ericsson W705 is an impressive mobile phone with a very good music player, a decent camera and an excellent Internet connection.
