NBA Basketball 01/30/06 – Celtics and Timberwolves face off after multi-player trade

Celtics @ Timberwolves: This game is only four days apart when Boston and Minnesota traded players. In this game, the home court doesn’t really matter. Whoever wins probably got the best of the deal. Is Szczerbiak a better wingmate than Ricky Davis? Wally had an exciting game 1 but loses to his former team.Expected Score: Minnesota wins 97-94

Spurs @ Jazz: Low score? You can bet. San Antonio has the depth to cripple any team. But since Ginobili was injured it hasn’t been like that. I wrote last Sunday that Duncan would have to have a big game against Denver to win. He was 14 and they lost. Once again Duncan has to come out of team play and score over 30. Manu’s impact is huge and we see it again when Spurs lose in a tight game.Expected Score: Utah wins 88-86

Rockets @ Grizzlies: Houston isn’t so much a defensive team as it is a bad offensive team that slows down the game. Rafer Alston should be able to beat Bobby Jackson, but so far he hasn’t shown that he can. Keep an eye on Mike Miller. He is best friends with T-Mac and has all the potential to score 20. Houston takes a beating. Expected Score: Memphis wins 98-83
