It is also important to accurately judge the distance between the hunter and the target. A hunter should be able to determine when a turkey is close enough to the target. Shotguns with 10-20 gauges are available for turkey hunting and offer a good option for hunters.

It is mandatory to enter each turkey on the official application form, certifying that the hunt was carried out by legal means and not for commercial interest. It is equally important to obtain the permission of the respective owners before hunting.
