Nestled between the Himalayan trail and India, Nepal is a place to quench your adrenaline with outdoor treks and picturesque views. Snow capped mountains, yaks, Sherpas and monasteries could be the ultimate goal for mountain lovers and what makes sightseeing in Nepal as interesting as it could be. 8 of the 10 highest mountains in the world are located in Nepal, including ‘Mount Everest’, which is among the highest and most traveled mountains on Earth.

Things to consider when planning a trip to Nepal:

Every place has some local characteristics that are unique to the place you are visiting and if you are going to visit Nepal there are some things you need to remember or follow when planning a trip.

1) Nepal Currency: The first thing that comes to your mind is to visit or buy some of the local things and shop while sightseeing in Nepal. And for that you will need the currency of Nepal. You can easily exchange currency within Nepal with the Nepalese rupee as you wander around.

2) Travel Budget: We as travelers generally try to manage our trips at the cheapest cost and a visit to Nepal can be a budget trip. The cost of food is quite reasonable, which makes it an ideal destination for foreigners.

3) Food in Nepal: The star dish of Nepal is ‘DallBhaat Tarkari’ (lentils, rice and vegetable curry). Be sure to try this delicacy as it is served in almost all the local hotels and is sumptuous. Other than that, there are a variety of foods available to enjoy deliciously every day. When in Nepal, try the Jhol Momos. Jhol means liquid and Jhol momos are the momos that are drowned in a sauce-filled bowl called a jhol achar.

4) Insurance for single women: This is the point I would like to focus on mainly. Sightseeing in Nepal is quite safe even for a single woman. Nepalese men are known to be very respectful towards women. They always avoid unwanted physical contact with any woman that is suggested as per their religious norms.

5) Shopping in Nepal: Another thing that you will need to plan before traveling to Nepal is what things to buy once you are there, because there are many things, treasures that you will love to buy and also at affordable prices. Religious paintings on a piece of cloth, Tibetan bowl, a unique treasure from Nepal, traditional bhairab masks and dramatic faces to decorate walls, rice paper notebooks and journals, traditional jewelry, etc. all can be added to your shopping list.

The list is exhaustive, but enjoy it to the fullest. Nepal is a country that offers warmth to everyone it meets.
