Middle-aged brides: let exercise adjust your mood throughout your planning and your perfect wedding

Your engagement and your wedding planning should be a wonderful time. Among the many things that challenge the mood of brides while planning the wedding, two things stand out:

  1. Brides are by nature a bit emotional. Not only are we getting married to our best darling, we are handling 10,000 other details on top of the rest of our lives.
  2. Middle-aged brides have all the things other brides have, plus they have busier lives and a high probability of fluctuating hormones.

Too many brides go through this period alienating their families, their friends, and their fiancé because their moods fluctuate so much. It is helpful if you lower your expectations for your wedding. Why not spend a beautiful day with friends and forget about the wedding paraphernalia? Do your guests really need a wedding favor and homemade cookies in their room? It also helps if you focus at least part of your wedding planning on your wedding ceremony and your wedding vows. Doing that will help you stay in touch with why you’re doing all this planning and executing!

It’s also incredibly helpful if you’re starting (or ramping up) an exercise plan. Regular exercise will help you regulate your life. You sleep better. You eat better. You plan better. You pay more attention to details. (And then, of course, there’s that great side benefit: you look better!)

There’s also something about flooding your body with endorphins that help modulate your mood swings. This is a wonderful thing at any time in your life. When planning your marriage, it is even more important.

You want your engagement to be that moment when you and your beloved savor your upcoming marriage. You don’t want this to be the time when your loved one decides to marry you anyway, despite your uncertain temper and nasty words. When he’s overly engaged and stressed, it’s hard to relax into the beauty of this period. And you want. Your engagement is not simply a time to wade around until the real relationship begins. It is an incredible period in which the two of you can anticipate and plan, not only your wedding, but also your marriage.

If you’re busy being one of Hoboken’s Harridans, it’s no fun for the sweetheart or girlfriend. 30 minutes a day will make an incredible difference. You will recover time efficiently. The love you receive from your enjoyment of her engagement will reverberate throughout your married life. Get marry? Go for a walk. And then settle in to enjoy the ride!
