Have you ever wished you had the perfect health care book to help keep you healthy and trouble-free? A self-care guide you can trust, written in plain language to help you through your later years? I think we all would like to have something like this on our shelves at home, in fact, I do. In fact, when I saw a book like that, I bought it and it’s still on my personal shelves to this day.

It is a book that I know you will enjoy and appreciate as much as I do, so without further introduction, I recommend the following book:

“Healthwise for Life; a medical self-care guide for you” by Molly Mettler, MSW; Donald W. Kemper, MPH; editor Carrie A. Wiss; and Steven L. Schneider Medical Editor; Healthwise Incorporated, Boise, Idaho; 2000. (Sanctioned by the Department of Veterans Affairs).

This book has information about men’s and women’s health issues and looks at changing demographics and how people are living longer, happier, healthier lives than at any time in our great nation’s history. It also warns of the dangers of not taking care of yourself, hygiene and food. This book has chapters on:

  • Diabetes
  • arthritis
  • Headaches
  • Dental problems
  • Physical aptitude
  • Nutrition
  • mental health

And how to live independently in old age, caregiver situations and tips for home health care. This book is one of the best books I have read on healthy senior living in retirement. It is also a book that I highly recommend for you and your loved ones. I hope you will go and pick up the most recent edition for yourself or your parents. Please consider this.
