Exploring life in a foreign country
The arrival of my wife and I as legal immigrants was filled with good and high expectations in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. We are dismayed that it did not live up to our expectations due to the recent recession. Settling here at this time of recession is pretty unfortunate – mass layoffs, furloughs, company closures, foreclosures, etc. Obviously, there would be stiff competition for employment. But this nation claims to be an equal opportunity employer, without discrimination regardless of age, gender, nationality, status, religion, etc. Where there is hope, there is an opportunity.
We are good and honest people who trust people who turned out to be scammers. However, these events did not discourage us. We must face everything to survive. We are facing the obstacle in our lives. We still believe that there are many good opportunities in the US.
Developing our Online Marketing work on the Internet from home

Last year 2009 we decided to try internet online marketing as there are always advertisements on the internet as well as on TV channels and newspapers. For me, it was a new professional adventure and an apprenticeship for not having knowledge about building a website on the Internet. I applied for the registration of two domain names with a web domain provider and paid the fees for the whole year by credit card with the corresponding receipt sent by email. It turned out that it was a scam because my domain names were not registered by the provider.
The provider tried to charge my credit card a second time, but failed because I asked my bank to dispute the amount charged. The amount was refunded in my bank account. Thereafter, with care, I was able to find an honest and helpful provider of my domain names and web hosting that I have been using until now.

My wife was watching a TV channel that mentioned a work at home job and more features can be seen at the channel’s website address. We trust the TV show so we visited the given site address and saw an ad for a free CD to work from home and pay just $1.97 for shipping. Since the charge seems reasonable, my wife filled out the form on the site giving her credit card number to pay only the shipping cost.
Our bank called about the amount charged against our credit card was $72.21. I asked my credit card bank to replace my credit card with a different number and to dispute the amount charged as an unauthorized payment. I gave them copies of my supportive email communications with the scammer. The bank was able to squeeze the scammer for the refund and returned the amount to my bank account accordingly.
Through internet surfing research, I was able to find and get my apps approved as an Advertiser Affiliate Publisher from various account managers and advertisers. We now have a work at home job as online internet marketers. There are some good and honest website owners who offer and share their experience and services for free. I sincerely appreciate your selfless helpful gestures in building traffic for other websites.
I am now on my way to approaching the gateway to success where I hope to face more challenges, more unknowns to be discovered, more knowledge to be learned, and more hard work to be exerted. Hoping that my affiliate advertisers and account managers can understand and patiently wait for the results of my hard work. Through faith in God, “Everything is going to be alright.”
Finally, there is happiness and satisfaction in selflessly displaying and sharing the talents and blessings that God has given. There are always good places for good, honest and generous people. In difficult times, we are learning to understand life.
