Daily Basketball Review: 11/1/06 Shaq vs. Baron Davis

Best: Heat @ Warriors: At a minimum, Golden State should play tough against the Heat. For Miami not to be swept like they were against Phoenix, they’ll need a big game for Shaq. Without Wade, he didn’t take a shot in that game until there were about 2 minutes left in the 1st. No wonder they lost. Adonal Foyle lost his starting job to Ike Diogu, but he will have the start to match the Diesels. This is your chance to get his job back. Predicted score: Miami wins 105-103

Runner-up: Mavericks @ Knicks: It was four seasons ago that these two teams had a 2OT game in New York. While the Knicks have completely changed their style of play (from good to bad), the Mavs are still the highest scoring team they were back then. Dallas needs to be more prolific on the road and take care of teams like this. Predicted score: New York wins 107-103

Blowout: Magic@Sonics: Orlando can play games in the low 90s frequently, but they need to let loose and score if they really want to be successful. Rashard Lewis will have an advantage over Grant Hill and should be able to score on him. The final lane under the basket should be a lot emptier after Steve Francis kicked a cameraman last year in Seattle. Predicted score: Seattle wins 104-87
