A wagon of love – And – Prairie wolf – And – Still and silent I lie – And – The mist in the hollow
A CAR OF LOVE
Oh what does bring the winter snowdrift?
Two snuggled puppies in a red and green box.
In an old rusty blue baby carriage
They are gifts to greet again this Christmas
The cubs look out into the snow
To the house where the windows shine
Because in there, a girl and a boy
Wait for a promised gift of loving joy.
His treasure is adorned with a large red bow.
The same I wore a Christmas, a long time ago
When loving parents gave their children
Two rescued puppies whose lives they had saved
Gifts like these, gifts of life and love.
They are like the ones the Creator above gave us
On that first Christmas he was born in the night
A gift given: a child who would show us the light.
What treasure awaits you on Christmas Day?
What a gift from God to you, in the snow does put?

COYOTE
There is a creature living
In the hills and the countryside.
Of strangers he is cautious,
from the unknown you can hide.
Though his kingdom grows smaller and smaller,
still patrolling it with pride,
‘Low the bright moon, softly padding
with his shadow by his side.
When the sun dips into twilight
the prairie wolf does give voice
through the darkness to the night sky,
Where the silver stars shine

Still and silent I lie down
While my body, still and silent, lay,
I see you cry and I hear you pray.
But i’m not
while you caress my neck and face tenderly.
Your tears keep falling
Even after I left your hug
Know that now I am in another splendid place.
I am no longer tired or tormented by pain.
I am in a meadow on a plain warmed by the sun.
There are hills, flowers, rivers, and grassy glades.
Bright starry nights and beautiful sunny days.
I’m on the bridge to run and play.
And until you join me, this is where I’ll stay.
I loved you then, I love you now.
Although I live here, I will visit you from time to time.
You will feel me close and you will wonder how
I’ve been doing it since I got to the Bridge.
Well I’m doing as good as I can
And my love for you shines for eternity
I’ll see you when the time is right.
So please kiss my face and hold me tight.
And join me on our heavenly flight.
Together we will be forever
our love the bond that freed us.
Your beloved furkin (hairy member of the family).

THE MIST IN THE HOLLOW
We have a cool fall morning
when the mist fills the glen
And the sun paints the sky amber red
fairies dance deep in the forest.
In a glen ‘half dewy grass
there is a man dressed in pictures
and his flutes are the song of the wind,
heard in the flash of a dream.
Refreshing cold is the fog
as it flows with the chorus of sad notes
of the lilting melody of the pipe.
Refreshing cold is the breeze
that weaves between the trees
And about the fog in the hole
