Ferris wheel High Roller on the Linq

The Strip is home to the world-famous High Roller Ferris wheel, which is located on Linq’s farthest corner, Promenade. Tourists can enjoy the best views of the strip and the areas around it while riding in a capsule of the gigantic 550-foot-tall Ferris wheel that takes half an hour for a full rotation. The cabin has capacity for 40 people. The views are especially exceptional at night with the city fully illuminated.

New York – New York Hotel

The NewYork-New York hotel in Las Vegas is located directly across from the MGM Grand Hotel and the Excalibur Hotel. The spectacular looking hotel is designed to resemble the New York skyline with the Statue of Liberty and the Brooklyn Bridge to complete it. There is also a giant roller coaster that enters and surrounds the hotel.

Caesar’s Palace and the Colosseum

Caesar’s Palace is one of the most popular hotel complexes in Las Vegas as you go. Today, Caesar’s Palace is a huge complex in the center of the Strip and has every possible entertainment option. Most people closely associate the hotel with shows performed in its huge concert hall called “The Colosseum”.

Popular celebrities (such as Celine Dione and Elton John) entertain guests for an extended period and shows usually sell out long before show time. Therefore, tourists planning to see a performance at this venue will need to check dates and ticket availability in advance.

Mafia museum

The National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement, also called the Nevada Mob Museum, is a museum that stands out for its uniqueness. It is situated inside a neoclassical building from 1933, which used to be the Post Office and the US Courthouse, which has its own history. This was one of the locations where the famous 1950 Kefauver Committee hearings were held, revealing some unsavory realities regarding organized crime in Las Vegas and across the United States.

The museum discusses the history of the American mob through engaging, interactive exhibits and video clips. The exhibits have something to do with people, events, culture and fashion that are relevant to the time.

Mandalay Bay Aquarium and Shark Reef

Another popular tourist spot on the southwestern end of the Strip is the Mandalay Bay Resort, which is close to the Luxor hotel. One of the resort’s main attractions is the Shark Reef Aquarium. It has a gigantic 1,300,000 gallon tank that houses a wide variety of fish, reptiles, sharks, rays, and marine invertebrates.

There are around 100 sharks of 15 different species and more than 2000 animals on display. Its most impressive feature is the shark tunnel. Shark Reef is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and works with wildlife biologists in the preservation of endangered marine and lake populations, as well as the rehabilitation of injured animals.
