I guess it was during my high school days that I admitted to myself that God was not this white-bearded old man in a white robe, sitting in a golden chair. throne somewhere beyond the sun, which distributed favors to those who prayed the most.

Theology classes seemed not to want to get into that sort of thing, especially when it came to what my destiny was.

The study focused more on making sense of the New and Old Testament. The Exodus and Paul’s travels after Jesus’ death did interest me, but I always wanted more.

My doubts were never about God, but I doubted the experts who interpreted all these teachings.

Why was I supposed to trust someone else’s vision of things?

The only answer I could get was, “Because the Bible says so.” They all seemed afraid to put their own interpretation on the “Holy Word”.

Do not misunderstand; my upbringing gave me a solid foundation, for which I am grateful, and there were many teachers, nuns and priests whom I looked up to.

It was also nice to discover that one of the new young priests– fresh out of seminary when he was a senior in high school, sporting shoulder-length hair – he was a fan of the Beatles.

He once said that he felt that even Jesus would have been listening to “Let It Be” and “Hey Jude.”

Now I hear that it is an advantage for the school that he is the principal of the school today, although I also heard that he has no hair.

I still wanted answers about a truer intuition about how to face the fears and challenges in life that they just couldn’t commit to.

Now when I look back, I think they must have had the same questions and would have liked to receive answers as well.

Tea Course in miracles He further says, “How long can it take where God wants it?

I started college at Kent State, not at all knowing where I was going, other than the parties.

I quickly realized that I wanted to put the books down for a while and get into the real world.

Deal with uncertainty

In a previous session, I discussed free online e-books on how to learn to go inward and present your destiny to the world.

As insecure as he was and impatient for answers and growth, he knew one thing for sure, and it was that he needed to make money.

The responses he was getting for fate’s aid at beer parties sounded good as he listened classical musiciansbut they weren’t good enough for me.

The need to move forward in life

That’s when I started looking at the sky, and I flew straight at it, and in 1975 it was owned by the United States Air Force.

My girlfriend Lori, who months later became my wife, accompanied me, courtesy of the Air Force. “How cool is this?” is what I felt with pride.

I found some answers and the truth about Vietnam pretty quickly.

Many of my new airman friends had recently returned from their tours of duty in Vietnam, and the war was over.

I got to hear the war stories first hand face your fears having a few beers at the NCO’s club.

They were training me as if they could send me there, but luckily for me no additional troops were sent.

The 1970s were safe but wild enough for me, even as an aviator. The Air Force took good care of me and in 1978 Erin was born.

As a young father with inspiration spreading through me and my beautiful daughter, my responsibilities kept the wildest times at bay.

He needed to be serious and help make a clear destiny path for Erin’s future. Furthermore, the oath I had taken to die for my country if necessary remained strong in my heart.

I guess you could say that I was the one “gung ho” guy, and this excited me as he would learn from the Air Force how to face his fears.

Ever wonder “who am I”?

I remember one night in a training exercise, some of us under the stars until dawn.

About a dozen of us were looking at the starry sky while holding our position in our C141 aircraft. The exercise required the arrival and departure of several aircraft during the night.

This intensified our discussion about the cosmos and the mystery behind the universe. I have always had an enthusiastic connection and curiosity regarding all that is visible and beyond in the sky.

One of the guys told me that it seemed like I knew something they didn’t know, as we all stared and talked in awe of the beauty of that particular night.

I can’t say I knew anything, but I’ve always felt connected in some way to ‘Something’ that teaches us how to know your destiny.
